"When his body is coming off....": Candace Owens revives Erika Kirk controversy by questioning TPUSA staffer's role after Charlie Kirk's death

The legal proceedings surrounding the death of Charlie Kirk continue to draw attention, but public discussion has also shifted toward the people closest to the late Turning Point USA founder. Conservative commentator Candace Owens has once again questioned the actions of Charlie's widow, Erika Kirk, this time focusing on who accompanied her in the hours after his death. Her latest remarks came during a podcast appearance, adding another chapter to an increasingly public disagreement over Charlie Kirk's legacy.

Candace Owens questions Erika Kirk's support system after Charlie Kirk's death

Speaking on the Shawn Ryan Show, Owens revisited the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's fatal shooting and criticized Erika Kirk's decision to be surrounded by Turning Point USA staff instead of relatives.

Owens referenced videos and photos shared after Charlie's death and questioned why Erika was accompanied by TPUSA Senior Advancement Director Stacy Sheridan during several emotional moments.

"On the day that your husband gets shot, you didn't have a single one of your family members go with you. Not one family member or friend went with Erika to Utah," Owens alleged. "She went with the person that's holding her in the photo when his body is coming off Air Force One."

She continued by pointing to Sheridan's repeated presence throughout those moments.

"In every single one of those videos, she's with the head fundraiser of Turning Point USA," Owens explained. "The person holding her, hugging her, crying, that's Stacy Sheridan. She's a chief fundraiser."

Owens added another claim while discussing the funeral footage.

"Stacy Sheridan is the one recording her while she's in the casket. No one can make that make sense," Owens remarked. "You cannot tell me a thousand times that you would not have a family member, a cousin, a brother, somebody other than just all Turning Point people [be by your side]."

Charlie Kirk case continues as Candace Owens renews criticism of Erika Kirk

Owens also claimed that travel arrangements would not have prevented Erika's relatives from reaching her after Charlie's death.

"Your family will crawl over glass to get to you [if] you go through something like that," Owens continued. "And she didn't have anybody …just Stacy Sheridan recording all of those private moments."

"When did you guys get so close?" Owens asked, referring to Erika and Sheridan. "You don't need anybody else for emotional support here?"

The comments add to Owens' ongoing criticism of Erika Kirk following her appointment as CEO of Turning Point USA after Charlie Kirk's death. Owens has repeatedly questioned several aspects of the aftermath while also advancing broader theories surrounding the case.

No public evidence presented in court has substantiated Owens' claims about Erika Kirk's personal decisions or suggested wrongdoing related to who accompanied her during those events. Meanwhile, the criminal case concerning Charlie Kirk's death continues to move through the legal process independently of the public debate.
