When are Blur on stage at London’s Eventim Apollo tonight?

After two triumphant dates at London’s Wembley Stadium, Blur are taking to the smaller Eventim Apollo on Tuesday to perform new album The Ballad of Darren in full.

The band has said the Hammersmith gig will be the only time they play the LP from start to finish and are set to be on stage for only one hour.

It is an unusual spectacle with no support act, but having waited eight years for new material, fans will savour the chance to see Damon Alban on stage with his original band.

Tickets are now sold out but it will be broadcast online and tickets for the live stream can be bought now.

For those lucky enough to go, or watching at home, this is what you can look out for.

What time will Blur be on stage?

Blur will be on stage at 9pm and doors will open at 7pm.

Luckily for anyone attending, the originally planned Tube strikes on Tuesday have now been called off.

Anyone attending should be aware that rucksacks are banned and that all baggage must be smaller than an A4 sheet of paper.

What setlist will Blur play?

The performance will be one hour but The Ballad of Darren — even in its deluxe edition — finishes at 42 minutes, meaning there may be room for some hits at the end.

The ten tracks on the standard edition of the album are:

1.The Ballad3:37

2.St. Charles Square3:55

3.Barbaric4:09

4.Russian Strings3:38

5.The Everglades (For Leonard)2:56

6.The Narcissist4:05

7.Goodbye Albert4:17

8.Far Away Island2:58

9.Avalon3:05

10.The Heights3:24

The album has been met with positive reviews, and has averaged 85 per cent on Metacritic.

David Smyth for the Evening Standard gave it four stars. He wrote: “The band must be well aware that on all those internet lists of the best Blur songs ever, it’s This is a Low, not Parklife, that always comes top.

“There’s plenty here that comes close to that song’s grand beauty, on an album that suits the Blur of today.”
