- April's full moon, known as the Pink Moon, is set to peak this week.
- The Pink Moon will reach peak illumination on Thursday at 3.12am in the UK (10.12pm EDT Wednesday).
- Although the Moon will not appear pink, it will be visible across much of the UK, though cloud cover is expected to obscure views in the south east and north east of England.
- The Moon will continue to appear full on Thursday night, offering another chance to view the celestial spectacle.
- The moon’s peak will come just four hours after Nasa's Artemis II mission launch, which will send astronauts to the Moon for the first time in over 50 years.
