By contrast, the US last year granted 70,000 undergraduate degrees in electrical engineering and 37,000 graduate and doctoral ones. Worse, last year 54% of engineering doctorates went to foreign students. And anyone who doesn't think a proud nation's technological strength can wither in a couple of decades just has to look at the UK.....
