WhatsApp Sticker update will make your chats MUCH more dynamic

Since they launched last year, Stickers have been one of the most popular features on WhatsApp.

Now, WhatsApp is giving Stickers a twist, with the addition of animated Stickers.

The new feature was spotted by WABetaInfo this week, although it remains unclear when WhatsApp plans to make them available.

WABetaInfo said: “We’re happy to announce that WhatsApp is definitely working on animated stickers! We already announced something similar in the past, but it was just a quick test and WhatsApp abandoned the feature.”

WhatsApp Sticker apps are being DELETED from the App Store for 'violating guidelines'  

The animated stickers will be included in stickers packs, alongside static options.

While they sound similar to GIFs, there’s a key difference.

WABetaInfo explained: “If you try to send it, it will be always animated (unlike GIFs, that are played for a few seconds).”
