What Virgil van Dijk did spotted as Jurgen Klopp celebrated Liverpool win at Everton

Liverpool’s latest win in the Merseyside derby is one that is sure to be remembered for many a year.

Jurgen Klopp’s side claimed a 4-1 victory at Everton on Wednesday night, which helped them maintain their third-place standing in the Premier League table, two points adrift of leaders Chelsea.

Jordan Henderson opened the scoring before a Mohamed Salah goal either side of half-time saw Liverpool take control of the contest at Goodison Park.

Diogo Jota rounded off the scoring in the closing stages to help the Reds get the bragging rights over the rivals from across Stanley Park.

As has become tradition with Liverpool, the club has released another ‘Inside’ video, which shows behind-the-scenes action from the win at Goodison.

Virgil van Dijk features regularly in the video, and two moments from the Dutchman are sure to delight Kopites.

Shortly after Jota found the back of the net, he and the rest of his Liverpool team-mates celebrated in front of a euphoric away end.

In the middle of the celebrations, Van Dijk can be seen pointing down, towards Jota, and shouts 'my boy' with a beaming smile.

Van Dijk had to cope with many of the Goodison crowd booing him every time he was in possession, and he certainly made the most of the full-time celebrations.

While Klopp was doing his traditional triple fist-pump for the travelling Liverpool fans, Van Dijk can be seen mimicking his boss with his own version of the celebration.

Van Dijk has played a key role in Liverpool’s strong start to the campaign, playing the full 90 minutes in all 14 Premier League matches.

The Dutchman recently got on the scoresheet for the first time this term with a volley in the 4-0 win over Southampton, which was his first goal since the opening day victory at home to Leeds United last season.
