Pudsey Bear makes his return to TV screens as Children in Need celebrates its 41st anniversary.
The live telethon helps raise millions of pounds for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK, who have been affected by poverty, disability, illness and more.
BBC Children in Need’s fundraising appeal - Together, We Can has shed light on the impact of coronavirus and the lockdowns on the lives of children and young people across the UK.

Surveying 1,008 parents and 1,000 children and young people, a poll on behalf of BBC Children in Need revealed that 73 per cent of parents worry about the impact of the pandemic on their children. In addition, 73 per cent of parents believe children and young people will be worse off in general as a result of the pandemic, whilst 77 per cent of parents believe children and young people across the UK are facing greater disadvantages because of the pandemic.

When is the BBC Children in Need appeal show?
The appeal show will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two on Friday, November 19 2021.
The fundraising broadcast typically lasts until the early hours of the next morning.
What to expect from the 2021 Children in Need appeal show
Similar to BBC’s Comic Relief Red Nose Day appeal, Children in Need specifically targets eradicating poverty around the world, with the aim of pursuing positive change through entertainment.
Featuring a host of celebrity guests, short documentary films and comedy specials, the appeal raised £37m for young people last year, which featured Joe Wicks, Little Mix and Kidz Bop.
Wicks is making a return to Children in Need 2021, he will be joined by Mel Giedroyc as the host, as well as Alex Scot MBE, Chris Ramsey and Stephen Mangan.
In a short video, the celebs taking part explained that the theme aims to show disadvantaged children that they are not alone.
