What Titans’ picks are worth on 2023 NFL draft trade value chart

After Hall of Fame head coach Jimmy Johnson created a value chart for NFL draft picks decades ago, it has become a useful tools for teams and media alike to gauge what draft trades might look like.

The chart, which has seen different versions over the years, places a number value on each and every pick in the NFL draft. Based on the Rich Hill trade value chart, which is considered an improvement on the Johnson version, here’s a look at the value of the Tennessee Titans’ six picks in 2023:

Round 1, Pick 11: 358

Round 2, Pick 41: 146

Round 3, Pick 72: 67

Round 4: NO PICK (Julio Jones trade)

Round 5, Pick 147: 13

Round 6, Pick 186 (via ATL): 5

Round 7, Pick 228: 2

Total value: 591

So, let’s say the Titans want to move up to the No. 3 overall pick to draft C.J. Stroud, which is the latest of many rumors surrounding what the team will do.

Based on the trade value chart, the Titans would have to give up at least their first two picks in this year’s draft (504 points) just to get close to matching the value of Arizona’s No. 3 pick (514).

While he’s certainly a friend of the organization after serving as director of player personnel, Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort isn’t going to do the Titans any favors, so it’ll cost more than that.

Make sure to keep this chart handy if you want to try and figure out what it’ll take for Tennessee to move to any spot in this year’s draft, which FINALLY begins on Thursday night.
