Apple’s annual announcement event is back with fans waiting to see what new products the tech giant will unveil. This will almost certainly include a new iPhone range, possibly bringing back the popular plus models.
Fans hoping to watch ‘Far Out’ can do so online tonight (Wednesday, September 7, 2022). There is always a live stream through Apple’s website or on YouTube and this year tech enthusiasts can also watch it via their Apple TV app.
Far Out begins at 10am Pacific Time in the US, which equates to 6pm here in the UK, although there is usually some build up before the products start being revealed. The exact time that phones will be announced is unknown as Apple likes to shake up the order of product reveals.

As phones tend to be the most hotly anticipated product, they are usually around the middle of the event. This is where Apple has the most viewers and shares all the big tech like Macbooks, iPads and of course the iPhones.
Apple have consistently launched in the September event since the iPhone 5, with notable exceptions for anniversary phone the iPhone X and the iPhone SE which runs parallel with the main range. There is not expected to be an iPhone SE announcement tonight as this is normally revealed in the spring event.
This year rumours are flying that the iPhone 14 range will include the standard phone and pro versions - but instead of an iPhone Mini, a plus or max version could be released for the non-pro phone. There are also set to be major changes to the screen notch, which has been gradually getting smaller and smaller over the years.
A major overhaul of the phones is not expected as the shape change was only two models ago and early leaks suggest it will keep the squarer form. This is all speculation until Apple reveals the iPhone 14 range tonight as the brand keeps things tight lipped until the official reveal.
Beyond the iPhones, new updated Macbooks and iPads will likely be unveiled as well as a possible update to the AirPod Pros. Fans will have to wait to get their hands on any products as the announcement is not a release - usually pre-orders open a week or so later.
Anyone hoping to watch tonight’s Far Out event can do so through Apple or YouTube starting at 6pm.
