What time Champions League and Europa League draws are as Chelsea and West Ham discover route

London duo Chelsea and West Ham have proudly been flying the flag in Europe this season Tottenham were expected to join the duo in doing just that but their shock UEFA Conference League exit which came around in dramatic circumstances meant that the west and east London outfits had the task of representing the English capital.

The Blues are looking to retain their European Crown as the first English side to do this in the modern Champions League era.

Thomas Tuchel's side overcame Lille by a 4-1 aggregate score and the German, despite Rio Ferdinand and Joe Cole already plotting the west Londoners' dream scenario for the upcoming quarter-final draws, isn't fearing anyone, despite the worst case scenarios involving playing one of Liverpool, Man City or Bayern Munich in the next round.

"I want us to be the team nobody wants to play. This is the role we see ourselves in this round of eight. It's a big step to do it again, again, and again. We fight for the top four places in the toughest league maybe in the world right now and we fight in the last eight again [in the Champions League]," Tuchel said in his post-match press conference on Wednesday night.

"So this brings out the best in us and we want to be the team nobody wants to play against. So let's see what happens." Then came the shock of the week, David Moyes' side overturning a 1-0 deficit against the Europa League serial winners and specialists Sevilla courtesy of an all-round inspired team performance at a rocking London Stadium.

How fitting it was too that Ukrainian Andriy Yarmolenko, who has gone through so much emotional trauma off the field due to the ongoing war in his home country, to bag the winner in this one, just like he did against Aston Villa at the weekend.

"It is great but I need to go further now that is my big thing, I am challenging the players but I have to challenge myself as well and find a way of getting a result in the next game," Moyes looked ahead to what's next for his side in his post-match press conference on Thursday night.

"The biggest thing was this was our first two-legged game, how do we handle the first one and the second one and I thought we did really well for a team still learning.

"We need to keep the players fit and the ones who are injured we need them back because when you get to this stage of the season in the league and the cup, it is very hard to do it if you are not at full tilt or have extra players to use. We were not limited tonight but we just felt the team out on the pitch was giving their best and I did not need to make too many changes."
