What Richarlison said to Tim Cahill about Everton at Best FIFA Football Awards

Richarlison shared a warm embrace with fellow former Everton favourite Tim Cahill at the Best FIFA Football Awards in Paris on Monday night - and made what appeared to be a telling admission.

Richarlison was present at the ceremony after being shortlisted for the Puskás Award for his incredible goal against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup. The Brazil international striker now represents Tottenham Hotspur after making a £50m summer move from Everton, where he remains well loved after a four-year stay on Merseyside.

Richarlison has so far been able to replicate the form he showed at Goodison Park that saw him touted as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League. Indeed, he is yet to find the back of the net for Spurs in the English top flight.

Cahill was also present at the FIFA awards and was quick to congratulate Richarlison on his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. But the former Australia international also informed the 25-year-old of how deeply missed he is at Everton, who are struggling without his goals and leadership.

"We miss you at Everton, yeah," said Cahill in a video captured by the FIFA World Cup Instagram page. Before Richardson replied: "Me too, yeah."

Cahill added: "Congratulations though."

Richarlison was one of the main reasons Everton retained their ever-present Premier League status last season, scoring vital goals against Crystal Palace and Chelsea in the run-in.

The Blues, who are now managed by Sean Dyche, find themselves in a relegation fight again this season. After 24 games they are in the bottom three and travel to table-topping Arsenal on Wednesday.
