What Rangers transfer business is needed in January? Saturday Jury

Ross Wilson has vowed to back Mick Beale in the transfer market, but what does the new Gers boss need in the New Year?

SCOTT BURNS: Rangers have got a strong enough squad but it has been hit by injuries. They still need a creative midfielder and could do with another striker, unless Beale can get Alfredo Morelos firing.

CRAIG SWAN:
A clean bill of health. Rangers need Tom Lawrence and Ben Davies off the treatment table and Kemar Roofe back and firing.

FRASER WILSON: The answer will be clearer when we see which players suddenly raise their game after the Premiership returns. Right now I reckon at least one centre half, another creative midfielder and probably a wide man and a striker given the uncertainty over Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.

What kind of cash should Celtic be looking to bank if they decide to cash in on Gio Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic in January?

SCOTT: The ball is in Celtic’s court with both players. They won’t sell unless they get top dollar and that would be substantial.

CRAIG: Juranovic is worth £15 million in today's silly market. Giakoumakis is 27 years old and worth a third of that figure.

FRASER: Both are a good age, in good form and with time left on their contracts so decent dollar. It all depends on who is actually interested but doubling their money on Giakoumakis at around £5m and perhaps a good bit more on Juranovic given his World Cup run with Croatia is not a ridiculous suggestion.

Who is your money on to land the golden ball for best player and top scorer golden boot awards at the world?

SCOTT: I can’t see past France’s Kylian Mbappe. He is already on three goals and I expect the French to go deep into this competition.

CRAIG: Kylian Mbappe will win best player if Fance gets to at least the semis. He might also win the Golden Boot.

FRASER: Kylian Mbappe or Alvaro Morata for top scorer depending on whether France or Spain go further in the competition. The golden ball award is wide open. Maybe Luka Modric could be a dark horse if Croatia continue their run.

It’s been a World Cup of shocks, where is the next one coming from the last 16?

SCOTT: The USA could surprise the Netherlands but this tournament has shown that nobody is safe.

CRAIG: It's not. The serious business starts now. No more shocks.

FRASER: Senegal anyone? England have blown hot and cold so far and the African Cup of Nations champions certainly have a squad capable of hurting the Three Lions.
