What Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said about his future amid Manchester United rumours

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a shock summer move to Manchester United.

The Arsenal striker has shone in north London after his £54million switch from Borussia Dortmund. He finished last season with 22 goals and a share of the Premier League Golden Boot.

However the Gunners still missed out on Champions League for the 2019/20 campaign and manager Unai Emery could be forced to sell some of his top players as he looks to improve his squad.

Aubameyang, 30, appears to be one of the players who could be offloaded with shock claims from Italy suggesting that Man United are keen as they look to replace Romelu Lukaku .

Tuttosport report that Aubameyang has 'said yes' to the idea of switching to the Gunners Premier League rivals.

He has previously discussed his dreams and aspirations in football, suggesting it is Real Madrid, not United, where he really wants to end up.

"Before he died two years ago I promised him that one day I would play for Real Madrid," he told L'Equipe back in 2016, as per AS .

"My grandfather was from Avila, not far from Madrid. It’s what I said to him. I know it’s not easy but it’s something I keep in mind.

"I celebrate my goals with a cartwheel in honour of Hugo Sanchez. I've seen many videos of him on the internet and I’ve been following him since I was a boy."
