What Neymar will do to push through transfer return to Barcelona

Neymar is so desperate to return to Barcelona this summer that he is reportedly willing to publicly apologise for quitting the club two years ago.

The Brazilian superstar joined Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for a world record £198million in August 2017.

But the forward has made clear his desire to quit PSG this summer and it is understood that his former Spanish club are leading the race to secure his services.

His two years in Paris has also been overshadowed by his antics off the pitch and PSG will consider selling the 27-year-old in the forthcoming transfer window if they receive a substantial offer.

The 27-year-old has reportedly set his sights on returning to Barcelona and is prepared to do everything in his power to complete the sensational move.

According to Spanish daily Sport , Neymar is willing to publicly apologise to Barca fans for the way in which he left the Nou Camp for PSG.

Neymar was criticised for what was seen as a move motivated by the financial gains on offer, and it seems he is now willing to hold his hands up.

He has already touched base with his former team-mates, who are believed to be open to his return, and now wants to reach out to the fans.

It is has previously been reported that Neymar regrets leaving Barcelona, having won two league titles and the Champions League in four seasons at the Nou Camp.

It is claimed that the Brazilian wants to return to Spain where he has a better chance of winning Europe's elite club competition again, having seen PSG struggle against fellow European rivals.

PSG are prepared to sell striker Neymar, French media reports have claimed, as chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi warned that irresponsible behaviour from players won't be tolerated anymore.

He missed large parts of the 2018-19 campaign through injury and suspension and made just 17 league appearances, scoring 15 goals, and now looks set for a fresh start.
