What is today's Wordle answer of the day for February 17?

Wordle has become a massive hit over the past couple of months and has brought out everyone's love of word challenges.

Another bonus is that the game doesn't cost anything to play and is ad-free while only taking a few minutes out of your day - perfect for a morning commute or lunch break entertainment.

Before reading ahead, note we will be giving away today's Wordle answer so if you don't want to spoil it for yourself stop now!

Fortunately, today's Wordle answer is a bit less tricky than the past couple of days and shouldn't confuse most players.

If you're a well-seasoned player by this point your first guess will be a word that has plenty of vowels in it - if you managed to get A and E on your first guess you're well on your way already to getting an early win.

After getting the vowels in the right place, the next trick is figuring out what letters are in between.

Following the usual process of elimination, you will soon discover the word starts with an S and an H.

There are very few five-letter words in the English language with all these letters in the right order.

Hopefully, you managed to figure out that today's word is SHAKE!

Thankfully, today's Wordle word of the day was a lot easier to figure out than the past couple of days and doesn't feature any niche words or repeating letters.

On Wednesday many players were not happy with CAULK - with many left scratching their heads wondering what it means.

One user on Twitter wrote: "That was a tough one! CAULK is definitely not a daily use word!"
