An anti-immigration protest will take place at Westminster, dubbed the Pink Protest, today, October 1, between 9.30am and 2pm.
The organisers claim to be protecting women and children and voicing women’s opinions to the government.
Other Pink Ladies groups have demonstrated outside immigration hotels where refugees and immigrants are staying, demonstrating the focus on immigration.
Conservative councillor Susan Hall also said that the group is “fed up with illegal migrants in hotels in their communities” in a Facebook post promoting the march.
This focus on immigration has led to some labelling the Pink Protest a far-right demonstration, arguing that it’s the female-led version of Tommy Robinson’s demonstration earlier this month.

Counter-protest planned for October 1
Stand Up To Racism is planning a counter-protest from 9.30am at Downing Street, with the tagline: “Refugees are not to blame.”
“The far right are calling a ‘pink protest’ in Westminster to ‘protect our women and kids,’” reads the description. “The reality is they want to spread racist hate and division. Join us to oppose them and make our voices heard.”
Immigration has becoming an increasingly prevalent topic for politicans and civilians alike, with Sir Keir Starmer recently announcing an ID card system that he claims will make the immigration system fairer.
More protests and counter protests have been taking place across the country, not just in London, as tensions on both sides rise.
