What is a Greggs 'Concierge Card' or 'Greggs' Black Card' and how do you get one?

For a few years now, the Nando's Black Card has been one of the ultimate signs that you're a very big deal.

The Peri Peri chicken chain has given celebrities, footballers and others the 'Black Cards', which offer free meals at Nando's branches around the country.

Now, Greggs has got in the act, with its 'Concierge Card'. London Grime star Stormzy - a self-confessed fan of a sausage, bean and cheese melt; vegan sausage roll  and the yum yum - is the first to receive one. Stormzy himself dubbed the award a 'Greggs Black Card'.

Greggs isn't saying much about what Stormzy actually gets with the card, which arrived in bespoke packaging with a welcome video and a pair of size 12 Greggs slippers.

The video tells Stormzy he can use the card to order whatever he wants from Greggs, whenever he wants, to wherever he wants. But aside from that, Greggs says it won't reveal the pastry privileges Stormzy can enjoy with his Concierge Card.

A message inside the box read: “Get those big size twelves on your feet. We’ll do the rest.”

You may be thinking, 'How can I get a Greggs' Concierge Card?'...

How do you get a Greggs 'Black Card'?

Sadly, there isn't really a complete answer. Stormzy's achievements are huge - multiple Brit Awards, multiple Mobos and multiple number one records. They, naturally, will have made him a top contender to be the first person to receive the card.

Crucially though, the Londoner has spoke about his love for Greggs before, which we imagine greased the wheels a little bit.

Here is what Greggs says: "Our Concierge card is strictly by invite only to some of our biggest fans. That’s all we can say.”
