What happens with the Golden Boot award after Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Aubameyang finish level

Nobody scored more than Liverpool star Mohamed Salah for the second consecutive season but the forward will now share the award with two other top players after bagging 22 goals.

One of those is his team-mate Sadio Mane, who netted both goals in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Wolves on the final day of the Premier League season.

Both players would certainly have rather landed the Premier League title but it's a small reward for a season well done as Liverpool finished second on a remarkable 97 points, just one behind City.

Salah and Mane were joined by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the winner of the Golden Boot after the Arsenal star scored twice in the Gunners' clash at Burnley.

Unlike other competitions, which use assists to decide who would finish with the crown, the Premier League's rules state that in the event of a tie, the award will be shared.

Salah landed the most goals in the Premier League during the 2017/18 season by netting 32, two clear of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, who scored 30 times.
