What happened between Tammy Abraham and Thomas Tuchel after Chelsea beat Real Madrid

Tammy Abraham was an unused substitute as Chelsea beat Real Madrid to reach the Champions League final.

But he was at the forefront of the celebrations on the Stamford Bridge turf at the final whistle.

Goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount in either half secured a 3-1 aggregate win for Chelsea over Real Madrid on Wednesday night to set up an all-English final with Manchester City at the end of the month.

Once again it was a watching brief for Abraham from the bench as he's now failed to make an appearance in the competition since the knockout stages began.

Although, there was no hint of frustration on his side as he joined the rest of the Blues squad on the pitch after their Champions League final spot was confirmed.

In fact, there was a brief exchange between Abraham and Thomas Tuchel as the Chelsea head coach congratulated his players at full-time.

To give Blues fans some sense of being at Stamford Bridge, during the game in west London everything the players were saying was captured by BT Sport and uploaded to YouTube.

At around the 2.35-minute mark in BT Sport's 'Listen In: Chelsea vs Real Madrid' video, Abraham and Tuchel embrace and the former had a simple two-word message for his manager.

"Let's go," Abraham said.

Abraham has been linked with a Chelsea exit this summer, with the Daily Telegraph reporting the club are prepared to listen to offers in the region of £40million.

But former Manchester United and England centre-back Rio Ferdinand has recently questioned Tuchel's treatment of the striker.

"Tammy wouldn’t get the time Timo gets," Ferdinand said on BT Sport last week. "He [Werner] scored at the weekend but he missed a sitter at the weekend. He missed another tonight.

"If you’re Tammy, you’re sitting there going ‘right, OK, I’ve got to be playing at least at the weekend to get myself in the shop window for the next game against Madrid."
