What Forest keeper Brice Samba had to say after receiving this big pat on the back

Brice Samba believes his fans PFA Player of the Month award is just the beginning of a successful career at Nottingham Forest.

The Congo-born goalkeeper picked up the crown on Wednesday, after an impressive month where he collect three clean sheets in five Championship outings.

In those November games, Samba was called upon to make 13 saves to help Forest to a spot inside the play-off zone at the top of the division after taking 10 points from a possible 15.

His three clean sheets came in games against Derby, Bristol City and QPR.

Samba notched 21 percent of the overall vote, while Matty Cash was not too far behind with 17 percent.

His impressive form in between the posts at the City Ground has seen him become a firm favourite on the terraces, with head coach Sabri Lamouchi even suggesting he’s the Championship’s number one.

Cash meanwhile, was named in the Who Scored Championship Team of the Month for the second time in succession, securing an overall rating of 7.56 at right-back.

Both men are expected to start against Millwall on Friday night at The Den, where the Reds will be keen to return to winning ways after Saturday’s City Ground defeat against Cardiff.
