Cristiano Ronaldo has told Paulo Dybala to join Manchester United and become a "champion", according to reports.
Juventus forward Dybala has been strongly linked with a transfer to Old Trafford in recent weeks as part of a swap deal with Romelu Lukaku.
United are keen on landing the talented Argentine but face stiff competition from teams including Inter Milan and Tottenham for his singature.
However, the Red Devils may have just stolen a march on their transfer rivals, after a ringing endorsement from their former player, Ronaldo.
Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo is one of the strongest voices in Turin, with his team-mates taking his advice on board.
And MailOnline is reporting that Ronaldo told Dybala to sign for Manchester United in a WhatsApp message because it would be the best club for him.
Dybala is keen to prove himself at another club now that his time at Juventus appears to have come to an end.
And United are now very much at the front of the queue to sign him.
This won't be the first time Ronaldo has been instrumental to a transfer taking place, should the Red Devils land Dybala in this summer's window.
The Portuguese spoke to Matthijs de Ligt during the Nations League and instructed the young Dutchman to sign for Juventus.
Weeks later and the Holland international did exactly that.
