Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is aiming to stop rivals Celtic in their tracks in the quest to deny them 10 in a Row.

And the early signs are promising ahead of clash with League One side Coventry City.

Rangers boast a 100 per cent record in the close season with wins over Hamilton, Lyon, Nice and Motherwell.

The 4-0 thumping the Steelmen received at Ibrox was a marker for the season ahead as Ianis Hagi, Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo and a Ricki Lamie own goal grabbed the goals in a special performance.

But now isn't the time to slow down and Gerrard will believe Coventry can offer a test ahead of the new campaign.

Ibrox will host its second pre-season game after the convincing win over Motherwell on Wednesday.

The action gets under way at 5:15pm on Saturday, July 25.
