What are VALORANT’S minimum, high-end, and necessary PC system requirements?

If you’re planning to jump into the fast-paced world of VALORANT, one of the most important steps before installing the game is making sure your PC meets its minimum system requirements at least.

Whether you’re a casual player or aiming for Radiant, knowing VALORANT’s system requirements can save you from frustrating lag, crashes, or performance dips during critical rounds. Luckily, Riot Games has designed its celebrated tac shooter to be accessible on a wide range of hardware, so even budget systems can run it.

Here’s a breakdown of the minimum, recommended, and high-end system requirements for VALORANT in 2025.

In the official system specs guide, Riot divides VALORANT’s requirements into sections based on the player’s performance needs. You can refer to the minimum, recommended, or high-end requirements depending on the number of frames per second you want to experience in the game.

Minimum system specs for VALORANT (30 FPS)

OS Windows: 10 (Build 19041+) or 11 64-bit
RAM 4GB
VRAM 1GB
CPU Intel i3-540 or AMD Athlon 200GE (SSE 4.2 or AVX Support must)
GPU Intel HD 4000, AMD Radeon R5 220

Recommended system specs for VALORANT (60 FPS)

OS Windows: 10 (Build 19041+) or 11 64-bit
RAM 4GB
VRAM 1GB
CPU Intel i3-4150, AMD Ryzen 3 1200
GPU NVIDIA Geforce GT 730, AMD Radeon R7 240

High-end system specs for VALORANT (144+ FPS)

OS Windows: 10 (Build 19041+) or 11 64-bit
RAM 4GB
VRAM 1GB
CPU Intel i5-9400F 2.90GHz, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
GPU NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti, AMD Radeon R7 370, or Intel Arc A310

Besides system specs, make sure you have enough disk space to run VALORANT smoothly and download updates seamlessly.

PC build guide for VALORANT

Whether you’re building a new PC or want to upgrade your existing one to suit VALORANT, this section’s for you.

Although Riot states that 4GB of RAM (and 1GB VRAM) is enough to run VALORANT at 144+ FPS with an Intel i5 or Ryzen 5 CPU, that doesn’t guarantee consistent performance. VALORANT is certainly more optimized than most modern tactical shooters, but it still needs a decent amount of power to run smoothly. In 2025, 4GB of RAM is simply too low for any gaming setup. We recommend having at least 8GB system RAM and 2 to 4GB VRAM for a more stable and enjoyable experience.

VALORANT is a CPU-heavy video game, so your system should ideally have a strong processor and modern RAM architecture to perform well. For CPU, Ryzen 5 or Intel i5 is great, but try to go for modern generations. While the GPU doesn’t play a major role in this game’s performance, opting for a decent graphics card is still important. You can follow Riot’s chart for this one, but we still recommend aiming higher (GTX 1660 or above) to futureproof your system.

If you’re planning to play VALORANT, however, there’s a good chance you’ll be interested in other shooter titles as well. In that case, investing in a balanced and modern CPU-RAM-GPU combo is a smart long-term decision that can handle a wider range of games efficiently.

Dot Esports’ recommended specs for VALORANT

OS Windows 11 (64-bit) or Windows 10 (Build 19045+)
RAM 8GB DDR4/DDR5 or more
VRAM 2GB or more
CPU Intel Core i5-11400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600
GPU NVIDIA GTX 1650 Super, AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT, or Intel Arc A580

This build should give you a stable 144 FPS in the game as long as you manage RAM usage well. It’s generally a smart move to invest in more RAM and VRAM for better performance and future-proofing.

If you’re looking for specs that will give you a consistent 240+ FPS performance in VALORANT, we’ve got your back too.

Dot Esports’ high-end specs for VALORANT

OS Windows 11 (64-bit)
RAM 16GB DDR5 (Dual Channel Preferred)
VRAM 6GB or more
CPU Intel Core i5-13600KF or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
GPU NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT, or Intel Arc A770

This build will run almost every shooter game in today’s time smoothly in the highest settings. But make sure you own a suitable monitor (240 maximum refresh rate or above) that can take advantage of the FPS output you can get out of this build.
