What are the Scarborough and Whitby General Election 2019 results in full?

Voters of Scarborough and Whitby have been braving the elements at the polls to elect their MP in the 2019 General Election.

And now the waiting is over.

The seat of Scarborough and Whitby has a new Member of Parliament.

Before this year's election, the sitting MP was Conservative Robert Goodwill - and he held his seat.

On a terrible night for Labour, candidate Hugo Fearnley saw his share of the vote reduce by nearly seven per cent.

The constituency's new MP Robert Goodwill took a 55.5 per cent share, amassing 27,593 of the vote to Labour's 12,323 in second.

Scarborough and Whitby saw a 66.8 per cent turn out from 74,393 voters

Polls closed across the UK at 10pm on December 12, and a count has been underway ever since.

The 2019 results are below:

  1. CONSERVATIVE: Robert Goodwill - 27,593

  2. LABOUR: Hugo Fearnley - 17,323

  3. LIBERAL DEMOCRAT: Robert Lockwood - 3,038
