After missing 20 3-point attempts in a row, Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jayson Tatum answered back with the third-most points he has ever scored in a regular season with 51 in the Celtics’ 116 – 87 win over the Washington Wizards on the road.
With the historic scoring outing, Tatum became just the fourth player in NBA history to have at least 5 games scoring 50 or more points before turning 24 years old, tied with LeBron James at 5 and trailing Rick Barry (8) and Wilt Chamberlain (7) — quite impressive company to be keeping for the Celtics star.
