Wetherspoons launches its Christmas menu tomorrow (November 16) with a variety of festive meals for customers. The menu will be available at the pub chain's near 900 outlets across the UK with turkey making a return after it was left off last year's festive selection.
Wetherspoons have added at least five new items to the menu. Among the festive favourites such as pigs in blankets, the big cheeseburger and the brie and bacon burger, making its debut is a chicken and stuffing burger.
The prices of each meal varies between branches, but The Sun says that most of the festive offerings are available for under £10. Here is a selection of items on the menu:
Sliced turkey breast and winter vegetables
Four slices of turkey breast served with winter vegetables, stuffing, mash and pigs in blankets. The meal costs around £10.69 with a soft drink or £11.99 with a selected alcoholic drink. The meal contains 997 calories.
The big cheese burger
Wetherspoons have previously described this as the ultimate indulgent festive cheese fest. The burger is topped with brie slices and halloumi fries and comes with a blue cheese dip and a serving of chips. There are beef and chicken options, while vegetarians can opt for a breaded vegetable patty or a Beyond Meat patty. The meal contains between 1445 and 1761 calories and costs between £9.05 and £10.35 depending on your choice of drink.
Brie and bacon burger
The brie and bacon burger is topped with pigs in blankets and comes with a side of chips. It is priced at £9.05 when accompanied by a soft drink or £9.35 with an alcoholic tipple.
Chicken and stuffing burger
This comes with maple-cured bacon, pork stuffing, cranberry sauce and is topped with pigs in blankets. It is served with a side of chips and is the same price as the brie and bacon burger, and the big cheese burger. It has around 1,682 calories.
Chicken, stuffing, bacon and brie pizza
New this year is the chicken, stuffing, bacon and brie pizza. It is 11 inches and made with chicken breast, pork stuffing, bacon, brie and rocket. It costs around £9.40 with a soft drink, or £10.70 with an alcoholic beverage. There is an eight-inch version for £6.05.
Brie and garlic mushroom pizza
Made with sliced mushroom, garlic, brie cheese and rocket, this pizza is for vegetarians who don't want to miss out on the festive flavours. It will cost around £8.40 with a soft drink, or £9.70 with a pint, while there is also an eight-inch version.
