Wetherspoons cuts cost of pints to as little as 99p in huge January price slash

Wetherspoon pubs are slashing prices across their drinks range this month with a pint costing as little as 99p for the next two weeks.

The chain is cutting the cost of beers, ciders, spirits, hot beverages and soft drinks from today, Tuesday January 3, until January 17. At 810 Wetherspoon sites across the UK, coffee with free refills, tea, hot chocolate and soft drinks will cost just 99p, as will a selection of beers and ciders.

At more than 560 of the company’s pubs, Ruddles Best will be available for 99p a pint, while a bottle of Beck's or Beck's Blue will also cost 99p, as will a 25ml measure of Bell's Whisky with a mixer. Meanwhile, a selection of low and non-alcoholic bottled beers will cost just £1.49, including BrewDog Punk AF, Heineken 0.0 and Kopparberg.

Bud Light, Stowford Press Dark Berry Cider, and Stowford Press Apple Cider will cost £1.69 a pint, while Carlsberg will be on sale at £1.99 a pint and Guinness at £2.89 a pint. Additionally, four flavours of AU Vodka, Duppy White rum and Gordon's gin will cost just £1.99.

Wetherspoons customers will also be able to order food for less in the January price slash. Porridge, muffins and wraps on the breakfast menu will be on special offer, with MOMA porridge priced at £1.49, a breakfast muffin with a hot drink costing £1.99 and a breakfast wrap with a hot drink costing £2.49.

Over on the main menu, a 3oz burger with chips and a soft drink will cost £4.49, while any three small plates will be available for £12. Diners have just two weeks to make the most of the deals at their nearest Wetherspoons pub.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: "Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pub too. The range of drinks and food on sale in the pub is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.

"This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks. I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers. As always, staff at the pub will serve customers responsibly."
