A female thug chewed on the arm of a nurse attending a Westlife gig in an argument over a toilet queue.
Tamara Dalziel, 26, pounced on nurse Michelle McLister, 38, at the concert in Glasgow’s Hydro on May 28, 2019.
Dalziel, a mental health nurse, had been aggressive towards Miss McLister who was waiting on friends.
The attacker sank her teeth into Miss McLister leaving her with a scar.
Dalziel was found guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assaulting Miss McLister to her injury.
The court heard Miss McLister and a relative had been helping a woman who was stranded.
The trio went into the toilet but Miss McLister waited outside of the cubicle.
Dalziel stood behind Miss McLister and stated to her: “I’m not waiting on anyone, I’m going to the toilet.”
Miss McLister told the court in evidence: She said ‘what you doing waiting there anyway?’ and I said I was helping a woman who was in the toilet.”
The pair continued to argue before Dalziel “became aggressive” towards Miss McLister.
She said: “The woman grabbed me by the arm and grabbed me by the wrists.
“She had her teeth in my arm and I pulled back with her teeth still attached in me.”
Prosecutor Heather Naismith asked “Did she bite you on the arm?” and Miss McLister replied: “Yes.”
The pair were separated by security and Dalziel left the arena.
Miss McLister was given first aid at the scene and treated herself at home with paper stitches.
Miss Naismith asked: “Was the skin broken?” and Miss McLister replied “Yes, I still have a scar.”
Dalziel put forward a special defence of self-defence.
Miss McLister stated “absolutely not” when asked if she provoked the incident.
Dalziel wept in the dock as Sheriff Neil Mackinnon said: “I’m satisfied from the Crown’s evidence and it didn’t cause me any doubt and I will convict you.”
Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports and Dalziel, of Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire, was bailed meantime.
