West Yorkshire Police issue statement after incident at Morrisons on Swinnow Road, Leeds

An investigation is underway after police were called following reports of a man with a leg wound “potentially caused by a bladed weapon.”

Emergency services called to Morrisons in Swinnow Road, Bramley, at around 3.12pm after the man was found.

West Yorkshire Police located the male who had a leg wound potentially caused by a bladed weapon but say he is now receiving treatment.

A cordon was put in place at the supermarket car park for four hours while the investigation took place and it has now been later removed.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Emergency services were called to a petrol station on Swinnow Road, Leeds at about 3.12pm today to a report a male was present with a leg injury.

“Police attended and located a male who had suffered a leg wound, potentially caused by a bladed weapon.

“The male is receiving treatment and initial enquiries into what took place are underway by Leeds District CID.”
