A charitable woman in West Lothian has set out to make sure families in poverty can still have a hearty Sunday roast.
Anne Wilson, from Winchburgh, started West Lothian Sunday Dinner Boxes after being inspired by a similar scheme running in East Lothian.
The mum-of-three works full time but has made it her mission to deliver fresh goods for hard-up families to cook themselves.
Wilson has set up a GoFundMe appeal to help meet running costs, and on the page she wrote: "There are so many families struggling these days.
"My memories of growing up was my mum and dad always cooking a Sunday roast and us all sitting together talking and laughing, such a warm feeling.
"The requests I have had for families requiring a fresh box as been overwhelming," she added.
Each box provided by West Lothian Sunday Dinner Boxes contains chicken, vegetables, potatoes, granules for gravy, Yorkshire puddings and a dessert.
Anne says each package costs nine pounds to pack and each one is paid for purely through donations.
She started deliveries around West Lothian on January 11 and the charity have already given out 21 Sunday dinners to families struggling to get by.
