Shocked neighbours have told how cops swooped on a residential West Lothian street after a man was found dead.
The body of the 31-year-old was found in a home on Glendevon Park, Winchburgh, on Tuesday lunchtime.
Police Scotland were scrambled to the scene and sealed off the house as an investigation was launched.
An eyewitness said a body was removed from the house in West Lothian on Tuesday at around 11pm, while locals had spotted people in forensic suits around the property.
One witness said: "The police weren't saying what's happened but it must be something serious cause they've been there for three days.
"They're standing outside the house and forensics in white suits have been coming in and out. They brought a body out at about 11pm on Tuesday."
Police confirmed the death is being treated as unexplained while officers remain at the scene today.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland told Edinburgh Live: "Officers were called around 12.04pm on Tuesday, 12 January, 2021, following the sudden death of a 31-year-old man at a property in Glendevon Park, Winchburgh.

"Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained, are continuing.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
No appeal was made for witnesses or information in connection with the incident.
