West Lothian child in hospital after 'targeted' attack involving weapons at house

A child was taken to hospital following a "targeted" attack involving weapons at a house in West Lothian.

The youngster was injured during the distressing incident, which happened at Church Place in Fauldhouse last Tuesday evening.

The West Lothian Courier reports that two men, who were understood to have weapons, stormed the house and threatened residents around 6.20pm.

The child was then hurt, while two men and a woman also suffered minor injuries.

The Courier says police are treating the attack as "targeted" and the two men responsible are believed to know the occupants.

Police enquiries remain ongoing, with officers following a positive line of enquiry.

A spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address in Church Place, Fauldhouse, at around 6.20pm on Tuesday, 27 April, after two men arrived at the property threatening the occupants.

"Two people, a 30-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries in a disturbance. A child was also injured and was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing and officers are following positive lines of enquiry.”
