Thames Water warned customers that they may have no water or low pressure shortly before 10am on Tuesday morning, but added that it was rerouting water around the area to help solve the issue.
Thames Water said that six postcodes had been affected by the burst pipe.
The affected postcodes are TW5, TW7, W3, W5, W7 and W13. Thames Water has not said how many customers have been affected.
It comes as the Met Office has warned that temperatures could reach 33C in Ealing on Tuesday.

The London Fire Brigade were first called to the scene shortly before 1am on Tuesday before the incident was over for firefighters at 2.18am.
Thames Water warned tower block residents that they may need to check the pumps in their building if water had not returned.
Fire crews were sent to the scene from Acton, Park Royal, Wembley and Southall fire stations to the scene.
A statement on the Thames Water website said: “As a precaution, we have tankers parked around the area to support by pumping additional water into the pipes should they be needed.
“To keep everyone safe, road traffic management is set up while work is ongoing, and diversions are in place, please allow extra time if you're travelling in the area.
“We know how disruptive it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.”
It comes after around 30 people had to be evacuated from their homes in Islington as another burst water main left some areas under around 44cm of water on Monday morning.
