West Ham could sell Lucas Perez for as little as £2m this summer as they look to get the striker off the books in east London this summer, football.london understands.
The Spanish striker was a £4m capture from Arsenal last August but failed to fire under Manuel Pellegrini, admittedly in limited opportunities, as he found the net just three times in Premier League all season.
Perez only appeared 19 times for West Ham last season as Manuel Pellegrini preferred Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez as his strikers and tried to flog the Spaniard in January but had no takers.
West Ham would like to recoup as much of the £4m they spent on the 30-year-old as they can but have come to the realisation they might have to accept half of what they paid for him last year if they are to get rid.
Not only would his fee would be coming into the club but also, his £80,000 a week wages would be off the books, saving the club around £4.1m over the course of a year.
Perez has been linked with a move to Newcastle United in recent days but more likely is a return to Spain with Alaves and Real Betis reportedly wanting to take the striker back home where he will get more gametime than he could next season in east London.

Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos are in the market for a new frontman this summer and have been linked with moves for Celta Vigo frontman Maxi Gomez and Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. The manager and his fellow south American need to sell players if they are to boost their transfer budget.
West Ham have already confirmed they will release another striker in Andy Carroll on June 30 when his contract expires alongside goalkeeper Adrian and midfielder Samir Nasri as well as seven U23 and U18 players.
