West Ham squad available for Carabao Cup tie vs Blackburn Rovers amid Maxwel Cornet issue

West Ham United are likely to rotate their squad once again for their Carabao Cup third round tie against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.

The Hammers will be competing in this competition for the first time this season, having been given a bye in the opening two rounds due to their involvement in the Europa Conference League and will play host to Blackburn in this competition for the first time since 2000.

For the game, West Ham have a near fully-fit squad available, barring any fresh concerns picked up in the last couple of days.

For Sunday’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League, winger Maxwel Cornet (calf) was the only player absent, having missed more than a month of action through injury, with a return date yet to be known after a fresh setback last month.

Winger Said Benrahma played through Sunday’s win and scored the opening goal despite having a knee injury. Considering he was used from the start, he is likely to still be available.

Like the win over FCSB in Romania six days ago, Moyes may want to give some of the club’s academy players minutes after impressing in Bucharest and helping the under-21s earn their first Premier League 2 win of the season. Ollie Scarles and Divin Mubama both made full senior debuts that night in Romania, while Harrison Ashby, Kaelan Casey, Freddie Potts, Keenan Appiah-Forson and Kamarai Swyer all came off the bench.

Here is a look at who could feature for the Hammers against Rovers.
