West Ham player ratings vs Everton: Angelo Ogbonna and Tomas Soucek back to their best

Lukasz Fabianski - Did everything asked of him and showed better distribution today. Repaid Moyes' faith in sticking with him over Alphonse Areola. 6

Ben Johnson - Linked up well with Jarrod Bowen down the West Ham right and proved himself a more than capable deputy for the injured Vladimir Coufal. 6

Kurt Zouma - Dominant in the air despite coming up against one of the best headers of the ball in the Premier League in Salomon Rondon. Comfortable on the ball picking out a number of excellent runs from his teammates. 7

Angelo Ogbonna - A superb second-half block from Alex Iwobi summed his game up with the Italian looking solid throughout. Tough challenge in the air against Rondon but as with Zouma stood up to him well. Rose highest in the box to give West Ham the lead with a deft header. 7

Aaron Cresswell - Dealt with the in-form Andros Townsend excellently and got forward well throughout the afternoon. 6

Declan Rice - Played a more defensive role than he had done in most matches so far this season and the balance of the team looked better for it. Rice's position allowed Soucek far more freedom to get forward and the team looked stronger because of this. Good in possession and positionally excellent throughout. 8

Tomas Soucek off 79 - Back to the form of last season with Moyes tweaking the formation to allow the Czech captain to push further forward. Good finish for the offside goal but was an excellent example of what he can do when let of the leash and allowed to roam forward. 7

Pablo Fornals - Gave Seamus Coleman a tough afternoon and looked a threat in possession. Worked hard in tracking back to help Aaron Cresswell out when needed. 6

Said Benrahma off 87 - Showed flashes of brilliance with the ball when running at the defence but lacked an end product today with too many wayward shots and crosses. 6

Jarrod Bowen off 90 - Started brightly but faded as the game went on, was on the fringes of the match for long spells but it was his dangerous corner that Ogbonna nodded home. 6

Michail Antonio - Walked a tightrope for the majority of the game after a needless early yellow card for simulation. Held the ball up well but in the first half in particular was off the boil in front of goal. 6

Substitutes:

Craig Dawson on 79 - Did his job well, solid in the air and a couple of important interceptions late on. 6

Manuel Lanzini on 87 - n/a

Andriy Yarmolenko on 90 - n/a
