West Englewood burglar breaks into homes through back door: police

Chicago police are warning West Englewood residents about a string of home burglaries in the South Side neighborhood.

In each incident, an unknown burglar got into the home through a back door, then stole property from inside, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened:

  • About 3 p.m.. Oct. 13 in the 5700 block of South Winchester Avenue;
  • About 11 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 5600 block of South Honore Street; and
  • About 11 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 5800 block of South Winchester Avenue.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
