West Bridgford bar to close after less than three years - and this is the reason why

One of West Bridgford's top partying spots will be closing down on Saturday (February 1) - but not before a final big bash.

Forty Four Brigdford's closing party will end just under three years of trading as a cocktail bar and kitchen in Bridgford Road.

The fun will start at 8pm to 2am with DJ K Royal playing old skool R 'n' B, dance and house classics.

Forty Four Bridgford replaced Pan Asian restaurant Chin Chin and before that the Oriental Pearl.

It opened in May 2017 with the promise of "something for all tastes and budgets” with everything from bottomless prosecco and afternoon tea to a BBQ grill, sports viewing and in-house DJs.

A spokesman said: "Forty Four had a release clause in the contract for January 2020 which we decided to take. Rents and rates in West Bridgford are high and difficult to sustain. The building is for let and we have no idea what business if any will follow our departure. "
