Welsh law graduate making £5,000 a month on OnlyFans abused by fat-shaming trolls

A former law graduate who now works as a glamour model has revealed some of the fat-shaming abuse she receives online.

Alaw Haf makes around £5,000 a month sharing intimate pictures of herself online on subscriber websites OnlyFans and AdmireMe.

The 24-year-old has spoken about the hate she receives based on her body type but says she's proud to represent "normal girls".

Alaw, who is from Mold, has spoken out about the trolling she receives on a daily basis.

Speaking to North Wales Live, she said: "It's always looks based, people say things like 'she's not worth it' or 'she's not even that fit'.

"As you can see, I'm not skinny, so I always get weight comments.

"On TikTok I've had to ban certain words because of hate related to my weight and there's a lot of bitterness in my Instagram requests so I just delete them, I don't even open the messages anymore.

"Once you put that link in your bio, people judge you straight away, just judge you off that, nothing else."

Alaw said she's had to build a thick skin to deal with online hate, but it hasn't always been easy to deal with.

"I got obsessed with comments at one point so if I'd been on a TV show or been in the newspaper I'd find it and look to see what people said but it got to the point where I was upsetting myself.

"People don't see the dark side of it- the leaks, the trolling, and the internet hate. It's not quick cash and it's not easy cash."

Despite graduating from the University of Liverpool with a law degree, Alaw chose to go into underwear modelling and now earns £5,000 a month on adult websites.

She appeared in BBC Three documentary Young, Welsh and Bossin' It earlier this year where she talked about the ups and downs of the glamour industry.

Proud to be running her own business, Alaw is clear that she chose this career, despite having plenty of opportunities to follow a more traditional career path.

She said: "People say 'could you not get a job?' but they forget that I've chosen to do it.

"I'm quite lucky because it's been a choice for me, but a lot of people are forced into the sex industry.

"I'm just the same as anyone else that's self-employed, I don't judge people for what they do for a living as long as it's legal and not hurting anyone.."

Alaw said she has now grown to love her curves and embraces her body despite intense online abuse.

"I'm not a skinny girl, I'm just a normal girl doing something a bit different.

"I'm not going to get abs in the gym- I prefer kebabs. It's just not me and I'm learning to accept that.

"On social media you're constantly comparing yourself to others so it's just learning to be okay with not being perfect."
