Week 3 snap counts and percentages: Saints at Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks dropped their first game of the year, falling 33-27 to the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field in Week 3.

New Orleans capitalized on Seattle’s mistakes, even without starting quarterback Drew Brees, and the Seahawks lost at home in September for the first time in the Pete Carroll era.

“We’re not getting the ball as much as we need to, that’s always telltale, particularly when we play at home,” Carroll said after the game. “We hawk the ball pretty good here. Usually, that has to do with effective pass rush. We usually play off of that, but there are other ways, too. There were some chances in the first half, the ball was bouncing around a little bit. Until we’re getting the football, we’re not going to be playing the way we want to play. Statistically, it wasn’t bad. Those guys are playing the run pretty well, and they’re doing a lot of good things in general. We have to put it all together.”

The Seahawks had been hoping to finally see defensive ends Jadeveon Clowney, Ezekiel Ansah and L.J. Collier take the field together; however, Collier was a game-day scratch. Ansah, in his debut in a Seattle uniform, logged just 19 defensive snaps.

Here’s a look at the rest of the snap counts and playing-time percentages for both the Seahawks and the Saints.
