Week 12 picks: Who the experts are taking in Eagles vs. Bills

The Eagles (9-1) and Bills (6-5) are set to meet on Sunday in an intriguing matchup that’ll see Buffalo try and get a win in Philadelphia for the first time since 1996.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott spent 12 years in the Eagles organization and grew up just 30 minutes from Lincoln Financial Field.

Sunday also marks the first meeting between quarterbacks Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts.

With kickoff fast approaching, we’re looking at who the NFL experts pick.

NFL.com has all five experts picking Philadelphia at home.

No team is playing better all-around football than the Eagles right now, with our last impression of them being a near-perfect half to complete a comeback win at Arrowhead. But there’s also no time to get complacent amid a gauntlet in the schedule. Jalen Hurts has played exceptionally well since Week 7, completing 72.8 of his passes and throwing 12 TD strikes against just two picks — not to mention his four rushing scores. That starting point is about the same time the Bills began their slump, but Josh Allen looked much better last week under new OC Joe Brady and it’s possible he takes another positive step against Philly’s bottom-five pass defense. Even if Allen’s clicking with Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis and Co., will it be enough to match a red-hot Hurts at the Linc? The 8 Ball reads: Outlook not so good.

The Inquirer--Eagles

The Inquirer’s NFL experts are picking Philadelphia at home.

The Eagles were successful against Travis Kelce last Monday, partly because Bradley Roby was back in the fold and partly because Desai used a heavy dose of double teams on the star tight end. Doing so against the Bills will bring Gabe Davis and Dalton Kincaid to the forefront — can the rest of the secondary hold up?

Even if they can’t, being opportunistic with turnovers should be enough to stem the tide. The Eagles could be sluggish from Thanksgiving turkey and the big win at Arrowhead, but they have enough matchup advantages to pull this one out regardless.
