There are two — count them two — afternoon games. One isn’t even listed in this post because it’s the only game on Fox. It’s the nationally televised game of the week where the Dallas Cowboys travel to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots. Ratings for that game should be a hit. Fox definitely wins the weekend. The rest of the weekend games could be interesting. The Seahawks-Eagles game is a battle to find who which team is the greatest birds of prey team. It’s also kind of important for the NFC playoff race. Let’s check out the rest of the schedule. As usual, thanks to 506Sports.com for the maps.
CBS Game (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT and 4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT)

█ Carolina @ New Orleans Jim Nantz, Tony Romo
█ Oakland @ NY Jets Greg Gumbel, Trent Green
█ Denver @ Buffalo Kevin Harlan, Rich Gannon
█ Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati Andrew Catalon, James Lofton
█ Jacksonville @ Tennessee (4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT) Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts
Not a great Sunday for CBS. Nantz and Romo travel to the Big Easy. Every other game could be a blowout or woefully boring. The Raiders-Jets matchup could be fun if the Jets keep momentum. The Broncos-Bills game is going to be a rock fight. There will be many handoffs in that game.
Fox Early Game (1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT)

█ Seattle @ Philadelphia Kevin Burkhardt, Charles Davis
█ NY Giants @ Chicago Thom Brennaman, Chris Spielman
█ Tampa Bay @ Atlanta Dick Stockton, Mark Schlereth
█ Detroit @ Washington Kenny Albert, Ronde Barber
█ Miami @ Cleveland Chris Myers, Daryl Johnston
The Seahawks-Eagles game is the best on the early portion of the card. The Giants-Bears game would normally be great for ratings, but this year neither team is very good. No one wants to watch the Lions-Redskins, even Lions and Redskins fans. Cleveland is buried on the television map after last week’s fiasco.
