Weather forecast for Leeds on Wednesday as city set for a wet, windy and cold day

Leeds is in for a wet day, full of sunny intervals with cold temperatures on Wednesday.

It's set to be a day of heavy wind with gusts at a speed of between 30mph and 39mph throughout the day, making it feel much colder, as if the temperature were 5C lower, according to the Met Office.

There will be light showers from early in the morning at 6am, with temperatures at a cool 9C. Then throughout the morning there will be sunny intervals and light showers throughout the morning, with temperatures peaking at 10C.

Then from noon, the weather will stay much the same with a mix of light rain and sunny intervals. Heavy rain will fall from 6pm and won't abate until 7pm with heavy showers for an hour.

Light rain will then fall throughout the night until midnight, with temperatures lowering to a cold 2C.

The sun will rise at 6.28am and set at 7:50pm
