We tried using the Prime Tracker UK app to find the viral drink in stores and this is what happened

You may be aware of the viral sensation that is the Prime Energy hydration drink.

The drink has taken the country by storm, with bottles flying off shelves. And some people are even reselling the drink for thousands of pounds online.

The juice, created by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul, is a hydration drink that contains vitamins, antioxidants and electrolytes to help boost the body's natural energy resources. Parents across the UK have been searching high and low for every flavour of the stuff, with some travelling hundreds of miles to secure a bottle. But now, there is an app that could help source stock and we decided to give it a go.

The Prime Tracker UK provides details on the stores with bottles of the sought after drink available. But how reliable is it? We tried it out to find out...

Prime Tracker UK - The App

When we first opened the app we were asked to turn our location on so the software can better track what stores are closest.

A map of the UK then shows up, with a bunch of red and green dots all across the chart. These dots represent if Prime is in stock at these particular supermarkets and petrol stations - so red for out of stock, and green for in stock.

We were able to zoom in and out to see more stores closer to us, or search for a specific place in the search bar at the top of the screen.

Clicking on a red dot showed us an updated report of the drink being out of stock - including when it was last in stock, in case we want to track deliveries to the store.

There are options to set up notifications for each store, and we could also call them to ask directly from the app. We could also click the Tweet for Update button which took us to the Twitter app, and a fully written question to the store asking if there are any updates appears immediately.

There is also an option to Navigate to Store, which took us directly to the Maps app on our phone - so we could plan our journey there.

How far was the closest store?

The closest store with Prime in stock was the Asda in Chesser, which was 20.2 miles from our locations - just under half an hours car journey.

There are Verified and Unverified reports of the Prime being in stock, with shoppers posting photographic evidence of the drink being on shelves.

We checked to see if the Prime was still in stock and sure enough, it was - all while using the Prime Tracker UK application. The Verified Reports are also updated regularly with new photos, and customers will also report when that particular store has ran out of the drink.

Overall, if you are serious about collecting all the flavours of Prime, the app provides a cheap way to keep on track with stock across not just Edinburgh, but the country.

The best feature is the Verified Reports section, as it shows exactly where in the store has Prime, and how recent it was on shelves.

You can download the Prime Tracker UK application on the App Store.
