We simulated Fulham vs Manchester United to get a score prediction

Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Fulham on Sunday evening.

United fell to their first Premier League defeat in seven games last weekend, with Aston Villa coming away with a 3-1 win at Villa Park. But Erik ten Hag's side will be hoping to bounce back with a win, in what will be the Reds' final game before the World Cup in Qatar.

United have a sizeable injury list right now, with Raphael Varane, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, Antony and Jadon Sancho all likely to miss Sunday's game, and Diogo Dalot also set to miss out due to suspension.

To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that the hosts could line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Leno; Dercordova-Reid, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Chalobah, Paulinha; Wilson, Pereira, Willian; Vinicius.

We predict that United could set up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: De Gea; Malacia, Maguire, Martinez, Shaw; Fernandes, Casemiro, Eriksen; Rashford, Martial, Garnacho.

United took full control at Craven Cottage in the opening 20 minutes, with goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes seeing the visitors race into a 2-0 lead. Garnacho opened the scoring after just 15 minutes of the game with a stunning strike, with the winger cutting in from the left and curling an effort into the top corner to send United ahead.

And just five minutes later, Fernandes got on the scoresheet to double United's lead, with Garnacho involved once again. The young Argentine winger played a quick one-two with Christian Eriksen before drilling a cross into the box on the byline, and Fernandes was on-hand to tap into the net from close range.

With six minutes to go until the break, United's clean sheet was wiped out and Fulham halved the deficit when Carlos Vinicius headed Harry Wilson's cross past David De Gea at the back post. The game looked set to enter the break at 2-1, but a rapid counter-attacking move saw Marcus Rashford make it 3-1 on the stroke of half-time.

After turning over possession, Casemiro set Rashford free down the right as United broke forward in numbers. After finding Fernandes in the centre, Rashford followed his pass, received the ball back from the United captain on the overlap and fired past Bernd Leno when he broke into the box.

The second half was an even affair between the two sides, with Fulham being denied a few chances of their own. United remained ahead though, and they confirmed the three points when Anthony Martial scored late on.

On the shoulder of the last man, Martial met Fernandes' through ball and charged through one-on-one. Leno stayed on his line as Martial entered the box, and the Frenchman rifled a powerful strike past the 'keeper for 4-1.

Ex-United midfielder Andreas Pereira got on the scoresheet in added time to make it 4-2 as Ten Hag's side earned the three points at Craven Cottage.
