'We're a naturist couple - our neighbours are used to seeing us naked every single day'

A naturist couple say their neighbours see them naked every single day as they relax in their garden without a shred on.

Fiona and Michael Discombe discovered their love of wearing no clothes while on their honeymoon in Greece.

Since then the couple reckon they have spent £15,000 travelling across the globe to locations in Europe and the Caribbean to discover more naturist societies.

Back home they enjoy lounging around in the nude and and claim their neighbours often catch them lounging out in the garden stark naked.

Fiona, from Sussex, said: “Our neighbours were shocked, but after a while, they thought nothing of it and would ask questions about our nudity.

“Now, it’s no surprise to them when we lounge out in the garden completely starkers.

“I also find it so much easier to scrub the bathroom without worrying that I might get bleach stains on my clothes.

“When the temperature is warm, we will stay naked at home and always sleep with no clothes on, as there’s nothing better.”

Before, the couple believed naturism was a “secret society” with a hint of sexual elements, but now, Fiona believes it helped heal her inner child.

In April 2008, they travelled to France, Portugal and Spain, where they found some “hidden gems” for the naturist community.

Fiona claims the attitude towards this way of living is more accepted in other countries and that UK-based areas are “seedy.”

They share their nude adventures on social media but while their friends and family have accepted their way of life, not everybody else has been as kind.

She said: “We had a couple of issues when we participated in a naked walk.

“Most people were verbally abusive and called us perverts or said we were up to something.

“It’s ignorance at the very best and it’s perfectly legal to walk naked in the UK if you are not intentionally out to cause offence.”

“We are passionate about promoting [this] lifestyle and the benefits it brings and how it’s helped our relationship build.

“We don’t want to convert everybody but would like it to become more accepted in the UK.

“If we can remove the mystery of our lifestyle, we can encourage more people to become confident about their bodies.

“Now, I can look in the mirror and barely notice any flaws that I had previously picked out.

“It’s just my body and I am proud of it.

“We hope to visit as many naturist destinations as possible, including Thailand and Greenland, and plan to retire abroad.

“Be happy in your own skin and do not let other people influence the way you see and feel about yourself.

“Everybody is equal when you wear no clothes.”
