Watford vs Wolves
FA Cup semi-final 2018-19
Venue: Wembley
Date: Sunday, 7 April, 2019
Kick-off: 4:00pm GMT

Watford will attempt to reach their first FA Cup final since 1984 when they take on Wolves in an intriguing last-four clash at Wembley on Sunday.

The Hornets are enjoying a terrific Premier League campaign under Javi Gracia - breaking their points record with a 4-1 win over Fulham in midweek - and beat Woking, Newcastle, QPR and Crystal Palace to advance to the semi-finals.

Wolves are battling it out with Watford for seventh spot and the right to be known as 'the best of the rest' in the top-flight in their maiden campaign since winning promotion from the second tier.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are looking to reach the club's first FA Cup final for 59 years, warming up for the big day by seeing off Manchester United for the second time in a matter of weeks.

They also beat the Red Devils in the quarters, adding to victories over Liverpool, Shrewsbury and Bristol City.

Watford vs Wolves team news and predicted line-ups

Watford will have to monitor Roberto Pereyra, who felt pain in his hip during the win over Fulham and was substituted at half-time.

Isaac Success (knee) and Adalberto Penaranda (hamstring) remain doubtful, while Tom Cleverley could miss out with a calf issue.

Watford XI: Foster, Femenia, Mariappa, Cathcart, Holebas, Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes, Pereyra, Deulofeu, Deeney

Wolves appear to have a clean bill of health, while centre-back Ryan Bennett returned from a two-match suspension against Fulham.

Loanee striker Raul Jimenez is soon to become a permanent member of the playing staff at Molineux with confirmation on Thursday that he will complete a club-record £32million move from Benfica in the summer.

Wolves XI: Rui Patricio, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, Dendoncker, Neves, Moutinho, Jonny, Jota, Jimenez

Score prediction: Watford 1-1 Wolves

This is an incredibly tough match to call between two impressive, evenly-matched teams both eager to end their respective cup final exiles and move tantalisingly close to claiming some major silverware.

It is easy to foresee a tight, tense contest that might just come down to the lottery of a penalty shootout.
