WATCH: ‘We have to try to avoid playing from behind,’ says Boston’s Jayson Tatum – but will the Celtics?

All-Star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has been here before, giving the press excuses about why he and his teammates failed to mount a concerted effort against less-talented NBA teams who simply outworked the Celtics in embarrassing fashion.

“It’s on all of us,” explained the Duke product. “We started well, but we had that little drought. We have to try to avoid playing from behind.” Fans and analysts both have heard the call to do better coming from the team’s best players — just like this one — before. And while there’s plenty of time left to turn things around with only five games of the season having been played, the stakes are higher, and patience thinner.

Watch the rest of the video embedded below to hear what Tatum had to say about his and his teammates’ substandard outing courtesy of CLNS Media.
