Watch: Warriors’ Steph Curry connects with rookie James Wiseman for powerful lob dunk vs. Bulls

After missing five consecutive games with a tailbone contusion, Steph Curry made his long-awaited return to the Golden State Warriors’ starting lineup against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.

In his return to the Warriors’ lineup, it didn’t take long for Curry to connect with rookie James Wiseman. Early in the first quarter, Curry found the 2020 second overall pick at the rim for an emphatic two-handed lob dunk.

Monday’s contest against the Bulls was the first time Wiseman and Curry were featured in Golden State’s starting lineup since Jan. 23 against the Utah Jazz.

While Curry notched a game-high 32 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the field with six assists and five rebounds, Wiseman added a double-figure scoring effort with 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor. Along with recording 12 points and five rebounds, the 19-year-old protected the rim on defense, tallying a career-high four blocks.

The duo of Curry and Wiseman helped push the Warriors to a 116-104 victory over Chicago at Chase Center.

Curry and Wiseman will have the opportunity to continue building chemistry on the court on Thursday when the Warriors begin a three-game road swing with a tilt against the Miami Heat.
