Watch the offense’s highlight reel from MSU Football’s win over WMU

Michigan State Head Coach Mark Dantonio issued a challenge to his offense at his last press conference after their win against Tulsa. The defense looked championship-caliber, but the offense looked lackluster. Well, the offense certainly heard that message and performed in a big way in their 51-17 win over Western Michigan University.

Now, some of this could be chalked up to playing Western Michigan, but let’s be honest, Western has a better defense than Tulsa so it was encouraging to see MSU dominate them. You can watch the key highlights in this video package from the Michigan State on Big Ten Network Twitter:

A big part of that success was the emergence of new starting running back Elijah Collins. Collins had 17 rushes for 192 (!) yards, including a 58-yard rush.

Brian Lewerke also looked great, going 23-for-32 on his passes for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns.
